"evenings out that stay in the memory"

Welcome to the website for musicinverness, the main provider of professional chamber music concerts in the Inverness area.  Each year we use our contacts and search for the finest musicians and bring them to the magnificent setting of the Main Hall in Inverness Town House to perform for the citizens of Inverness.

We welcome visitors from other parts to share  our passion in enjoying some of the greatest artistic achievements from composers from the earliest times of written music right up to the twenty-first century.

The musicinverness season begins each year in late September and the series of eight or nine concerts continues through to April the following year.  Solo recitals, duos, trios, quartets and quintets  -  there is something for everyone.

Following  Government instructions in relation to the outbreak of the Covid-19 coronavirus, it is with regret that the final two concerts in the 2019/2020 Series have had to be postponed.  The planned programme for 2020/2021 has also had to be postponed and a new programme of probably eleven postponed concerts has been prepared which will hopefully be presented between September 2021 and April 2022

In the meantime no tickets are going on sale.

Membership packages for 2020/2021 are now available.  For details click on the Membership page.

Those patrons who have subscribed to a Membership for 2020/2021 will have their membership extended to include the first available full season.  As matters become clearer further information will be posted on this website, as well as being published in the monthly eNewsletter.  If you wish to be added to the emailing list please contact the musicinverness Administrator at jamesdmunro@btinternet.com
