ROBIN MICHAEL and DANIEL TONG
Beethoven : Three of the five Cello Sonatas
Beethoven : Variations on arias from "The Magic Flute"
Long time musical partners Robin Michael and Daniel Tong return to Inverness to reprise the highly successful pair of concerts they performed back in 2012, playing three of Beethoven's magnificent cello sonatas on the Thursday evening in Inverness Town House, followed by the other two at lunchtime the following day for At One With Music, but this time the Friday lunchtime is in Inverness Old High Church.
This concert was intended to be part of the musicinverness contribution to the worldwide commemoration of the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth on 16th December 1770. But, hey ho! even after all the postponements we just make it before the great man's 251st birthday! Robin and Daniel have recently recorded this programme on period instruments and the double CD on Resonus Classics was released in January 2020 to critical acclaim.
